Nvidia havent released drivers for it yet (hopefully they will soon) Your 1060 is 01:00.00 and 01:00.01 so you would nned to add it by hostdev like this. Here is my PCI list: yes it will passthrough but you will be stuck without drivers.

What do I need to do to at least try getting it to fire? I did get the nVidia webdrivers to install in the VM. Unfortunately the gtx 10 series are not yet supported in OS X I saw a bunch of posts back that someone here has GPU passthrough working with a 1070 card. Thanks Gridrunner!! Super excited to get this going. That is completely bizarre as I know I tried it both ways. Ill change it back and try it again.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it worked. I’m using OS X El Capitan and the latest version of XCode and MacPorts. I am not a programmer, just someone who wants to playback a TAS on my Mac. Verbose mode means that you’ll be able to see exactly what’s going on under the hood as OS X attempts to boot up its installer. Press the spacebar and select Boot Mac OS X in verbose mode.

Use the arrow keys to select Boot OS X Install from Install OS X El Capitan (It should be selected by default).

I couldn't see discussions like this anywhere else online, and I DEFINITELY do not want to go to any Stack Exchanges (considering troll admins shut every legitimate question down, seemingly).Connect a Playstation 3 Controller to a Mac in MacOS Sierra, OS X El Capitan, Yosemite, & Mavericks The process of connecting and using a PS3 controller with a Mac is the same with basically every version of OS X beyond Lion, including MacOS Sierra 10.12, OS X 10.11 El Capitan, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite, etc.

Can I upgrade the AMD Radeon without worrying about heating problems?

able to take the extra heat that will likely result from the increased processing power?ģ. If I am to upgrade the CPU, are the motherboard, heat sync, fan, etc. Is the processor even upgradable, or did Apple sodder the CPU into the motherboard?Ģ. So no, this isn't intended to be a gaming rig, but I do intend to use it for at least 5 more years as a productivity workhorse.ġ. Specs are: Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.5, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory (after I upgraded from 4GB since RAM pressure was 70% at idle), Standard 500 GB 5400RPM Hard Drive (which I intend to replace with a suitable SSD and no, I don't know what SATA or anything about hard drive/SSD connections, so if someone could shed some light on that, that would be great), and obviously integrated graphics with AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB :P. So I've been trying to upgrade my Mac Mini (Mid 2011) recently.
